What to expect
Finding Out is a monthly newsletter from UX researcher and coach Veronica Erb.
Skilled research requires knowledge that's between the methods. This connective tissue helps us know things like which methods to use and whether the findings of an existing study can be applied to a novel context.
I learn these things by paying attention to the world around me, by reading broadly, and by talking with my friends new and old. Finding Out shares these stories, and I hope that they will inspire reflection for you, too.
Issues to check out
“Irises and rain barrels,” on the difference between anecdote and research
“The warmth of an open-ended question,” on honoring a person’s experience
“A non-linear line,” on how we read and the value of book clubs
